Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 April 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Docucert platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Docucert. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time; continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Description of Service
Docucert is a shipping aggregator platform that provides access to carrier rates, shipping label generation, freight forwarding services, customs documentation assistance, and related logistics tools. We act as an intermediary between users and carriers or freight forwarders. We are not a carrier and do not physically handle shipments unless operating under an Enterprise managed service agreement.
3. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Maintain the security of your account credentials and not share them with third parties.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
- Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Pricing and Payment
Docucert operates on a pay-per-transaction basis. There are no subscription fees or recurring charges. You pay only for the services you book — shipping labels, freight quotes, or document services — at the price confirmed at the time of booking.
All prices displayed are inclusive of our service fee. Prices are shown in GBP by default and may be displayed in other currencies for reference; the GBP amount is the binding transaction price unless otherwise stated.
Payments are processed securely via Stripe. By completing a purchase you authorise Docucert to charge your selected payment method for the amount shown at checkout. All sales are final unless otherwise stated in our refund policy.
5. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to ship:
- Prohibited, restricted, or controlled goods (including weapons, narcotics, hazardous materials) without appropriate licences.
- Counterfeit goods or items that infringe intellectual property rights.
- Items prohibited by the destination country's import regulations.
- Any goods in violation of UK export control laws or international sanctions.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your shipments comply with all applicable laws and carrier terms. Docucert reserves the right to cancel shipments and terminate accounts found to be in violation.
6. Customs and Duties
You are responsible for ensuring accurate customs declarations, HS codes, and commercial invoices. Import duties, taxes, and customs fees are the responsibility of the recipient unless otherwise agreed in writing. Docucert provides customs documentation assistance but does not guarantee customs clearance or accept liability for delays caused by customs authorities.
7. Liability and Disclaimers
Docucert acts as an agent and intermediary. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by carriers or freight forwarders.
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Service.
- Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 3 months preceding the claim.
- Carrier liability for lost or damaged shipments is governed by the relevant carrier's terms and conditions.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, and software on the Docucert platform are owned by or licensed to Docucert. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason at our sole discretion. You may close your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
